ご挨拶
CBMS（Certification for Bilingual Medical Staff）は、医療分野における英語運用能力の向上を目的とし、教育プログラム、テキスト教材および国際医療英語認定試験（年１回）をオンラインで提供しています。
２０１２年、先端医療推進機構および愛知県の協力を得て第１回目の国際医療英語認定試験を開始いたしました。外国人観光客および居住者の数値はコロナ期間（２０２０年１月～２０２３年５月）を除き増加の一途をたどります。医療機関では、診療のみならず、受付や会計といった事務業務にも外国語での対応が必要となっております。また、創薬開発など医療関連企業における英語コミュニケーション能力は必須であります。
一方、２０１２年当時の医療機関へのアンケート調査によれば、２００床以上で英語対応が不十分であると回答されたのが９２％。２０２３年の同調査においても８０％近くにのぼります。このＣＢＭＳプロジェクトは日本医師会、東京都医師会、日本看護協会、東京都看護協会および日本医学会にもご協力いただき進めております。
現在、ＣＢＭＳの教育プログラムや認定試験に取り組んでいただいている方々は、医療機関のみならず、製薬企業、ホテルなどの観光関連施設などで働く方々も多くおられます。
今後も、（財）グローバルヘルスケア財団では、ＣＢＭＳプロジェクトの研究開発に力を注ぎより良いプログラムを提供して参ります。

Greetings
CBMS (Certification for Bilingual Medical Staff) provides educational programs, textbook materials, and an annual international medical English certification examination to improve English language skills in the medical field. We provide useful system of online.
In 2012, with the cooperation of JAPSAM and Aichi Prefecture, we launched the first international medical English certification exam. Figures for foreign tourists and residents have continually increased, except during the COVID-19 pandemic (Jan. 2020 - May 2023).
It is necessary for medical institutions to treat patients in English not only for medical consultations, but also for administrative tasks such as reception and billing. Furthermore, English communication skills are essential in medical related companies launching drug discovery and development. On the other hand, according to a 2012 survey to medical institutions, 92% of those with 200 or more beds reported inadequate English-language services. In the same survey in 2023, nearly 80% reported inadequate English-language services as well. The CBMS project is being promoted with the cooperation of the Japan Medical Association, the Tokyo Medical Association, Japanese Nursing Association, the Tokyo Nursing Association, and the Japanese Medical Science Federation.
Currently, those who have taken CBMS educational programs and certification examinations work not only in medical institutions, but also in pharmaceutical companies, hotels, and other tourism-related facilities.
The Global Healthcare Foundation will continue to focus on the research and development of the CBMS project to provide even better programs.
